Dry my leaves when they fall

Description

'Dry my leaves when they fall' almost means the same as 'Dry my tears when I cry'.

The woman in the picture symbolize the season Autumn. She's the one who'll dry those leaves before she burries them in the ground. The past has gone and new seasons will arrive soon.

The colours on her skin and the parts that look 'worn out' represent the decay of autumn. The falling leaves are more green then brownish. It's symbolic and it would take to much words to explain that. Please keep in mind that every artwork I create has some (hidden) symbolism.

On her head she wears some wings and pieces of moss, also some little clovers. The clover that brings good luck is burried safely. You know, just in case it gets stolen by someone who isn't lucky, but could need some :giggle: And yes beside the falling leaves there are also some dead moths (for the ones who always notice them  )

Overall inspiration to achieve this outcome were oilpaintings, theater and nature.

Created with brushes only and some textures for extra depth and contrast.

Thank you for viewing and only fave when you like my work. And yes (as always) I'm way behind with answering messages and notes  And euhm ..... =mmenathalie I haven't forgot about you, because your face already started an artistic journy in my mind ....
