Stil verlangen

I gave this artwork the Dutch title "Stil verlangen". Translated it means "Silent desire". Please don't take this as something sexual, because that isn't my intention. I would upload this artwork yesterday, but then .....

When I visited ~riarockstock I couldn't find the stockpicture anymore. I contacted her to ask what was going on. And guess what? She just removed it yesterday because she tought nobody could use it. Therefore I'm happy that she uploaded it again and giving me the chance to show you my artwork. Thanks again Arimalka, I really appreciate it

"Stil verlangen" is mainly inspired by the works from old Dutch masterpainters like Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer etc. And also how an old oilpainting looks when it's partly restaured. The look of old varnish that already has been removed etc. It may look different then some of my previous artworks that were mainly fantasy inspired. Don't worry, I'm not switching from genre. I'm just showing what kind of artworks I also like to create beside the fantasy stuff.

You know what is funny? The old masters often tried to create artworks that looked very realistic. When I look at their works in the museum I always think "it almost looks like a photograph". And exactly that effct I tried to achieve with "Stil verlangen". Pfff, I hope that you could follow what I wrote and that it made any sense to you
